Santa Catalina is one of Panama’s best diving destinations. It’s near the Coiba National Park, which has abundant marine life, and the town is friendly and mellow.

You’ll always remember the first time you breathe underwater. It’s a surreal experience—you feel like you’re on another planet exploring colorful new environments. It can take a little getting used to, but after a few minutes you’ll relax and enjoy yourself.

During the Discover Scuba course, you’ll learn the basics of scuba diving under the direct supervision of a PADI professional. You’ll get acquainted with scuba equipment and learn to use it in shallow water. The gear includes a mask, snorkel, fins, buoyancy compensating jacket, scuba tank, and regulator.

You’ll practice breathing underwater and begin to feel comfortable inhaling and exhaling. You’ll also learn basic skills and safety rules that carry over to full scuba certification courses.

To take this course, you must be at least 10 years old.
Entrance fee to Coiba National Park is not included on rates, the cost is $20 per person.
